Fatal Error: Access Violation at 00007FF943D50950

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software version 22.1 or earlier, you may see this fatal error when compiling the design.

Resolution

To work around this problem, compile the design in the command line. 

quartus_sh --flow compile <project name>

After command-line compilation finishes, open the project using the Quartus® Prime GUI.

This problem is fixed beginning with the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software version 23.1.
