Error:Can't find design file 'filename'

Description

You may see this error when compiling in the MAX PLUS® II software and reading an EDIF Input File (.edf)generated in a third-party synthesis tool. This error may occur if you are using an incorrect Library Mapping File (.lmf).

Resolution

To avoid this error, select the appropriate .lmf for your design based on your third-party synthesis tool by performing the following steps:

1. Open the MAX PLUS II Compiler window
2. On the Interfaces menu, select EDIF Netlist Reader Settings
3. Select the correct third-party synthesis tool from the Vendor drop-down menu
