Error: Slow slew rate is not compatible with on-chip output termination for the address/command bus. Either turn off output termination (if possible), or use Fast slew rate.

Description

You may experience the above error when setting the Arria 10 DDR3L IP I/O tab Slew Rate option to Slow on the Address/Command signals. Slow slew rate is only supported when the output termination is turned off, and SSTL-135 does not allow the output termination to be turned off.

Resolution

Perform board-level simulations with Fast slew rate to determine the optimal external termination values.

This issue will be fixed in a future release of the Quartus® II software.
