Error: quartus_asm.exe - No Disk

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 14.0 and earlier, you may see the following assembler error when a DVD is ejected during compilation. This happens only when the DVD drive is mapped to D drive.

Error: quartus_asm.exe - No Disk
There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive D:

Resolution

To work around this problem, do not map the DVD drive as D drive.

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus II software.
