Error: Partial reconfiguration region mask verification failed for CRAM mask. The mask does not match the mask from the base revision.

Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software version 19.4, you may see this error when compiling a partial reconfiguration design.

The problem occurs when a parent partition is being compiled from scratch while a child partition is being preserved at the final snapshot. 

Resolution

To work around this problem, do not preserve the child partition.

This problem is beginning with version 20.1 of the of the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software.
