Error: "Invalid (inconsistent) license key. The license-key and data for the feature do not match. This usually happens when a license file has been altered..." (QuartusTM, MAX PLUS® II)

Description

Altera software generates this error if the license file is corrupted.

The license file must have the proper format. For example, a missing carriage return between the back-slash and the alphanumeric number may result in this error. A correct license file should have the following format:
