Error: intel_onchip_memory_0: "Dual-port access" (dualPort) is out of range: SimpleDualPort

Description

In the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software v21.4 and later, you might see this error message in the Platform Designer when you enable the AXI-4 interface in On-Chip Memory II (RAM or ROM) Intel® FPGA IP.

 

This problem occurs when switching between the Avalon® Memory Mapped and AXI-4 interface.

Resolution

You may safely ignore the error message and select the SimpleDualPort(RAM) or Single Port(ROM).

 

This is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software.
