Error: CONF_DONE pin failed to go high in device <number>

Description

You may receive the following error if you are trying to program an engineering sample (ES) programming file into a Stratix® IV or Arria® II GX production device. The programming files for ES devices and production devices are not compatible.

You will need to regenerate programming files for production devices if you have originally targeted an ES device in the Quartus® II software.
