Error: Can't connect to X11 window server using '[hostname:port]' as the value of the DISPLAY variable.

Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.3, you may see this error when running the qsys-generate command. This problem occurs when x11 forwarding is not enabled in the Linux terminal you are using.

Resolution

To work around this problem, unset the DISPLAY variable by running the following command in the Linux terminal:

unset DISPLAY

This problem is fixed beginning with version 22.1 of the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software.
