Error: board.xml: NO_TOP_LEVEL_BOARD_XML_NODE

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 23.2 and earlier, you might see this error in Platform Designer when creating a new Platform Designer system or generating the HDL.

This error occurs when "board" is used as the Platform Designer system name.

Resolution

To work around this problem, follow the below steps:

1. Create a new folder directory
2. Create a new project and Platform Designer system
3. Use any Platform Designer system name other than "board."

This problem is fixed starting with the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 23.4.
