Error: ALTLVDS_RX megafunction has been instantiated with a rx_cda_reset port

Description

If, in the Quartus II software version 12.1 or later, you migrate an ALTLVDS_RX megafunction that satisfies all of the following conditions:

• Targets an Arria V or Cyclone V device
• Was created with the MegaWizard Plug-In Manager prior to version 12.1
• Had the Use 'rx_channel_data_align' input port and the Use ‘rx_cda_reset’ input port options enabled

The following error message might appear in the quartus_map executable:

Error: ALTLVDS_RX megafunction has been instantiated with a rx_cda_reset port, but this port is not supported in the Arria V/Cyclone V device family.

Resolution

Regenerate the ALTLVDS_RX core in the MegaWizard Plug-In Manager of the later version of the Quartus II software. In the ALTLVDS_RX generation window, select the Parameter Settings tab and then click the Receiver settings tab. Deselect the Use ‘rx_cda_reset’ input port option. Click the Next button in subsequent windows until the summary of files appears. Click the Finish button.
