Error: altera_axi4lite_slave: Missing required signal(s): awprot, arprot

Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software version 22.1.2 and earlier, you might see this error in the Signals & Interfaces section of the Component Editor in Platform Designer. This error occurs when both the awprot and arprot signals are not added under the AXI4Lite slave interface. This error occurs even though these signals are optional according to the AMBA AXI Protocol Specification.

Resolution

To work around this problem, add both the awprot and arprot signals under the AXI4Lite interface.

This problem is fixed starting with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software version 23.1.
