Error (20327): Unknown board Intel Agilex *-series FPGA Development Kit

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 23.1, you might see this error after upgrading an example design from the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 22.4.

Resolution

To work around this error in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 23.1, follow the steps below:

1. In the Quartus® project, go to the Assignments → Device... → Board tab
2. In the Board tab, the user can utilize the Find Options to filter and get the board details.
3. Re-name board assignment in Quartus® Settings (.qsf) file. E.g., “Agilex™  F-Series FPGA Development Kit DK-DEV-AGF014EA” to “Agilex™ 7 F-Series FPGA Development Kit DK-DEV-AGF014EA”

• If using a script to generate the design, update the Quartus® project TCL file and the Platform Designer TCL file with the latest board name.
