Error (19733): The following instances of High Bandwidth Memory (HBM2) periphery IP are not in the root partition. Remove any instances of this IP in a non-root partition.

Description

In Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.4 or earlier you may get this error when trying to place the Traffic Generator logic used in the HBM2 example design in a separate partition for Partial Reconfiguration when using Intel® Stratix® 10 MX devices.

Resolution

This issue is fixed starting from Intel Quartus Prime Pro Edition Software version 22.1
