Error (169176): Pin used dynamic OCT control signal which is not available on location

Description

You may see this error message in the Quartus® II software if the pin using dynamic On Chip Termination (OCT) is not part of a DQ/DQS group. You can check the DQ/DQS grouping from the target devices pin-out file.

Note that there are exceptions to this rule when using Stratix® IV and Arria® II GZ devices, where there are some pins which are not part of a DQ/DQS group, but do support dynamic OCT. Pin-out files for these device families will be updated in the future with a new column that will indicate if dynamic OCT is supported.
