EMIF Toolkit Will Not Link to Projects Containing In-System Memory Editor

Description

This problem affects DDR2 and DDR3, LPDDR2, QDR II, and RLDRAM II products.

The External Memory Interface Toolkit will not link to a design that uses the in-system memory editor. When you attempt to link the toolkit to a design that uses the in-system memory editor, the following error message occurs:

ERROR: The supplied JTAG Debug Information (.jdi) file for the project does not appear to match the specified target device as not all nodes have hierarchy info..

Resolution

The workaround for this issue is to remove the in-system memory editor component from the design.
