Does the Reed Solomon II Decoder Megacore support shortened codewords?

Description

The Reed Solomon II Decoder Megacore® cannot handle shortened codewords. If you assert a valid End Of Packet (EOP) on a short input packet (less than the selected codeword length), the output is still expecting the selected length packet and doesn’t issue the appropriate End Of Packet (EOP).

Resolution

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus® II software.
