Do I need to perform skew matching including package per-pin skew and PCB delay when I migrate the device with different package delay with Intel Agilex® 7 FPGA EMIF IP?

Description

You do not need to perform package per-pin skew when you plan to migrate the device with different package delays because migratable devices with different package delays and calibration can compensate for the variation, so only matching the PCB trace delays is required for full frequency specification operation.

Follow these guidelines:

• Include package length in skew matching for FPGA device with no migration = Required
• Include package length in skew matching for FPGA devices with migration = Not Recommended
