Cyclone III Remote Update Controller Core is EOL starting from Version 14.0

Description

In the Quartus® II software version 14.0 and later, the Cyclone® III Remote Update Controller Core has been removed from QSYS IP Catalog. In addition, Cyclone III Remote Update Controller Core chapter has also been removed from the latest Embedded Peripheral IP User Guide.

 

The reason of removing this Cyclone III Remote Update Controller Core is due to Cyclone III Remote Update Controller Core only officially supported in Cyclone III and Cyclone III is no longer supported in the Quartus II software version 14.0.

Resolution

To have remote update in your design, you may need to use “Altera Remote Update” megafuction.
