Cannot generate the soft LVDS SERDES IP core in x1 or x2 mode for the MAX 10 device

Description

In the Quartus® II software release version 14.0 update 2, the soft LVDS SERDES IP core does not generate for the x1 or x2 mode with the MAX® 10 device.

Resolution

You must use the Altera® general-purpose I/O (GPIO) Lite megafunction to generate the x2 mode and fast I/O registers to generate the x1 mode for the MAX® 10 device.

This issue will be fixed in a future release of the Quartus II software.
