Assignment Groups feature is not supported in Quartus Prime Pro Edition software

Description

In Quartus Prime Pro Edition software, the Assignment Groups feature (Assignments > Assignment Groups) is not supported.

If your Quartus Settings File (.qsf) defines an assignment group (ASSIGNMENT_GROUP_MEMBER and ASSIGNMENT_GROUP_EXCEPTION) and makes assignments to that group, the assignments are not honored correctly. You might see a message similar to the following warning:

Warning: Assignment group <name> could not be found.

Resolution

Create assignments that apply to the individual nodes in the group. To avoid warning messages, remove the assignments that create Assignment Groups and that make assignments to those groups in the project .qsf file.
