Arria V and Cyclone V Hard IP for PCI Express IP Cores Link Training Unstable on Gen3 Machines

Description

Link training on Gen3 machines may be unstable for the Arria V and Cyclone V Hard IP for PCI Express IP Cores in version 12.0 SP2 of the Quartus II software. Altera has observed this issue motherboards using the Intel Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge processors.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in a version 12.1 of the Quartus II software.
