Are there any known issues when installing the Quartus II software without all the device families?
Description
Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 11.0 and earlier, several transceiver-based IP cores use ATOM or WYSIWYG functions from earlier and base device families. Additionally, when using an IP core, the Quartus II software may check that all supported device families are installed. These issues can cause unexpected problems such as those in the related solutions below when generating, simulating or compiling IP cores.
To prevent possible problems when using transceiver-based IP cores, select all device families when installing the Quartus II software.
This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus II software.
