Altera HDMI RX Core Unable to Lock for Certain Resolutions
Description
The Altera HDMI RX core is unable to lock for these resolutions:
- 4Kp30 16 bit-per-color
- 4Kp25 12 and 16 bit-per-color
- 4Kp24 12 and 16 bit-per-color
The root cause for this issue is the limited timeout count for the symbols alignment in the HDMI RX core. The limited timeout count is 16M symbols; but for these resolutions, the timeout count exceeds 16M symbols.
This issue causes the HDMI RX core to time out before the alignment is achieved.
Resolution
There is no workaround for this issue.
This issue is fixed in version 16.0 of the HDMI IP core.
