Altera DisplayPort IP Core Produces Audio Crackles and Invalid Audio Samples
Description
The DPRX channel may produce audio crackles and invalid audio samples when it receives 2-channel audio at High Bit Rate 2 (HBR2) mode with 4 lanes and low resolution, for example 640×480.
The DPRX audio may be choppy or distorted when the main link is using only 2 lanes and receives 2-channel layout packets.
The faulty audio is caused by the loss of some audio samples.
Resolution
There is no workaround for this issue.
This issue is fixed in version 15.0 Update 2 of the DisplayPort IP core.
