After upgrading RAM: 1-port or RAM: 2-port IP, the IP does not recognize the initial content file.

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 14.0 Arria 10 Edition, if you upgrade a design that contains either RAM: 1-port or RAM: 2-port IP, the design does not recognize the initial content from memory. This problem affects any designs that contain RAM: 1-port or RAM: 2-port IP.

Resolution

To work around this problem, open the IP parameter editor, on the Mem Init tab, under Memory initial Mode, browse to your initial content memory File name. This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future version of the Quartus II software.
