Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software version 18.0 and earlier, you might see this fatal error message in the fitter stage. This error occurs on Windows 10 only when the Design Assistant is enabled in the post fitting.

Resolution

To work around this problem, disable the design assistant in:

Assignments > Settings > Design Assistant > Run Design Assistant during compilation
