Description

Due to a problem with the Quartus® II software versions 12.1 and earlier, you may see this error when clicking on a Located Entity report from a previous compilaton within the Chip Planner. This error occurs because the Quartus II software fails to delete any Located Entity report within the Chip Planner before starting a new compilation.

Resolution

To avoid this error, manually delete any Located Entities reports from the Chip Planner before performing a new compilation.

This issue is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus II software.
