Quartus Prime Pro 26.1 - Where to find Documentation of new Signaltap features

Hello,

Quartus Prime Pro 26.1 is advertizing new SignalTap Python API. But there's no 26.3 Signaltap User Guide yet available. Where to find a documentation of Python interface or example code?

    Hi Frank,

    yes, the stp.py that you referenced is a what is currently available.  One note is that the module in only available using quartus_py.   This can be accessed using the Quartus Command Window (Windows OS) or by exporting the quartus/bin directory (Linux).

    Hi Kenny,
    I found in the meantime
    altera_pro\26.1\quartus\common\python\lib\site-packages\altera_sld\stp.py

    Apparently no other code or documentation provided, but looks like a good starting point.

        Hi,

        I didn't yet start evaluating the Python interface, thus I can't say how far we'll get without regular documentation. Personally I would expect a brief explanation of concept, list of exported data types and implemented commands. Thus I'l add a question mark to "sufficient".

        Anyway, I appreciate that the Python interface was published as is.
