Hi Frank,
yes, the stp.py that you referenced is a what is currently available. One note is that the module in only available using quartus_py. This can be accessed using the Quartus Command Window (Windows OS) or by exporting the quartus/bin directory (Linux). - FvM

I found in the meantime
altera_pro\26.1\quartus\common\python\lib\site-packages\altera_sld\stp.py
Apparently no other code or documentation provided, but looks like a good starting point.

Hi,
I didn't yet start evaluating the Python interface, thus I can't say how far we'll get without regular documentation. Personally I would expect a brief explanation of concept, list of exported data types and implemented commands. Thus I'l add a question mark to "sufficient".
Anyway, I appreciate that the Python interface was published as is.
