hanging Quartus licenses

Hi,

We have a flexlm service running on a PC server for our Quartus licenses. We use Quartus on Linux and on PC platform.

The problem we now see is that sometimes, the license server does not release a license, even when the Quartus program is closed. This leads in the end to the situation where all licenses are in use (according to the server) and not any Quartus program is running.

We have the impression that things started to become worse after switching to timequest. What we did see is that when a Quartus flow is stopped before it is completed (by clicking on the stop icon during compilation for example), this tends to 'eat' a license.

Is anyone having the same problems or knows how to deal with it?
