Does the Post-Configuration BSDL Generator for Cyclone 10 LP require an NDA?

Hi,

I am planning to use the Post-Configuration BSDL Generator for Cyclone 10 LP for debugging.
link: https://docs.altera.com/v/u/resources/652777/post-configuration-bsdl-generator-for-cyclone-10-lp-and-cyclone-10-gx-devices

I checked the license and noticed that it is the Altera OBL Limited Tools License C2A, which seems to suggest that an NDA may be required.

Could you please confirm whether an NDA is required to use this tool?

Thanks.

    Hi Jo1,

    Thanks for checking.

    Public availability (no access gate)
The Post-Configuration BSDL Generator is published on the public Altera documentation/resources portal and is also referenced as a downloadable tool from the Altera BSDL Support page. There is no NDA-only portal or restricted-access step required just to obtain it from these public pages. FPGA BSDL Support

About the C2A license text you saw
You are correct that some C2A license variants include an NDA condition. For example, both the “Limited Internal Use” and “Limited Distribution” C2A agreements state in Section 3 that the agreement and materials are confidential and “will not become effective, or will automatically terminate, in the absence of a NDA. (I'm sending the license agreement separately to you inbox.)

    Practical guidance
If you obtained the generator from the public BSDL Support / documentation download (as linked above), it is intended for general customer use and does not require you to have a separate NDA in place to access the download.

    Regards,

      Hi Fakhrul,

      Thank you for your reply.

Do you have any evidence regarding this?
Also, is your statement the official position of ALTERA?

      Regards,
